We met in Colby for the 1st Congressional District Republican Committee meeting on Saturday. Amanda Adkins, Chair of the Kansas Republican Party, and Ashley McMillan, Executive Director of the KS Republican Party, presented information about the campaign training seminars that they have conducted across the state. Again, these are two very impressionable young women! The party is in good hands. Five of the seven Republican candidates for the first district were in attendance. Derrick Schmidt, candidate for Attorney General attended, as did Asst. Insurance Commissioner Bob Tomlinson, representing Sandy Praeger, and Will Rupp representing Jerry Moran.
I still didn’t have much voice, but with a microphone and a very considerate audience, I was able to make a few remarks and answer a few questions. However, my conversational ability was severely limited! And, as you know, that is extremely difficult for me!
