Campaign Announcement

Dear Visitor:

As you may know, I announced my candidacy for Kansas’ First Congressional District on Mar 2, 2009. Throughout my lifetime in this district I have served many roles. I come from a farming background, growing up on a farm in McPherson County, which I now own. My husband and I served the role of small business owner for the twenty years that we operated Sportsman’s Supply. I have also had the distinct honor of serving as an educator for thirty-eight years, teaching at both the high school and university level. Through this role I learned the value of public service and civic virtue, now I look to take on a new role as your representative in the U.S. Congress.

Beginning with my rural Kansas upbringing I learned the value of honesty, integrity, and hard work. Instilled with these values I began a career of public service that would allow me to impart these values to a new generation. The future has always been my focus and I look forward to the opportunity to lead Kansas into hers. As your representative I promise to continue the tradition of responsible leadership, listening to the people, and common sense solutions demonstrated by Rep. Jerry Moran. I pledge to always put the interest of Kansans first.

I look forward to a campaign focused on the issues important to all Kansans, devoid of inter-party and bi-partisan bickering. The difficult times that we face require that we rise above petty arguments and commit to rolling up our sleeves to achieve the goals that are necessary to restore prosperity to our people, tackle the difficult challenges, and do what is right. I encourage you to check back in the coming days for exciting updates from the campaign. Most of all I look forward to the opportunity to travel this great district and meet with all of you to discuss how we can continue to keep Kansas interests in Washington.

Yours,

Sue Boldra
